Escaped The Snow To Monaco
It just begins to become a tradition to travel once a year to Monaco. A few friends of mine and myself decieded to double our last years stay from just two to four days in the principality. As during our abidance the "Top Marques Monaco", a millionaire fair, and the "Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters", a tennis tournament, took place, we already knew before that the country will be for sure crowded.
This trip started like most of my other trips with needing to wake up way too early in the morning and too less hours of sleep during the night because of all that anticipation about the upcomming journey, followed by some last minute speed bag packing and of corse not to forget the hurry to the waiting car already stuffed with my friends looking reproachful towards me.
After some coffee in Monte Ceneri, near the Swiss-Italian border and a smoked swordfish pizza at the marina in Varazze we finally arrived at our hotel in Monaco during the late afternoon. The plan for the evening: saunter around the main streets, enjoy dinner and winning huge amouts in the Casino de Monte-Carlo. Two out of three points were archieved that night..
The next morning we visited the 'Top Marques Monaco', a huge super cars, watches and luxury event at the Grimaldi Forum right next to the beach, looking at some not yet affordable stuff, beeing amazed by futuristic flying cars and meeting the Prince of Monaco, Albert II. Afterwards, we enjoyed a drink at an epic spot, all above the country, called "Tête de Chien" and made some drone shots with our ride for the weekend, the Tesla Model X.
New day, new place to visit: As we did plan to have lunch in Nice, we were a bit surprised after landing in Cannes, about two hours away from Monaco, because we did not even know that we got lost on the streets. Nevertheless we enjoyed the day in Cannes, the sunset and evening finally but a bit later than expected in Nice and our final partying and gambling night again in Monaco.
After four sunny days all around the French Riviera, with enough sun to get me sunburned, we arrived back in our Principality in Liechtenstein. Can't wait to spend more time in Monaco. Btw, check out the following shots, being taken regularly from my good friend Daniel.
